FILANDA

RARE is a curatorial collective operating at the intersection of contemporary artistic research, sustainability, and engagement with the local context. Within Filanda, RARE develops and coordinates the artistic program, defining a research direction centered on the relationship between art, industry, and community.

Its activity takes shape through exhibitions, curatorial projects, and public programs that engage with the local productive landscape. In this context, collaboration with companies in the area becomes an active resource, capable of generating new opportunities for research and production.

Alongside the exhibition program, Filanda develops Filanda Lab, an educational department offering workshops and activities based on the recovery and transformation of materials from local industries, promoting sustainable practices and hands-on learning.

The project is further expanded through Cinema Filanda, a program dedicated to auteur cinema and contemporary visual research, and Teatro Filanda, which hosts performances, shows, and moments of exchange between the performing arts and the public.

RARE

Filanda is a cultural project born from the regeneration of the former Filanda Bocchese in Trissino (Vicenza), now transformed into a space dedicated to contemporary artistic research. The project stems from the desire to reactivate a site rich in industrial memory, opening a dialogue between history, production, and the languages of the present.

Promoted by a group of local entrepreneurs and under the aegis of Fondazione Pielle24 ETS, Filanda is conceived as a cultural ecosystem where art, business, and community converge. The project hosts the studio of artist Arcangelo Sassolino and unfolds through a program of exhibitions, educational activities, and public initiatives.

The artistic direction is entrusted to RARE, a curatorial collective founded by Jacopo Ferma, Cristiano Focacci Menchini, and David Melis.
